Foxhill Trout Fishery - What a day!!
Foxhill Trout Fishery near Camrose, Haverfordwest hosted a competition in aid of the Welsh Ladies Welsh Ladies International Fly Fishing Team on Saturday 13th April.
The competitors were not to be deterred by the cold, windy and drizzly weather and went out full of enthusiasm. Fish were being caught on all pegs, with some really lovely fish being returned.
The prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and some raffle prizes were generously donated by Turrall & Co along with a goody bag (which were very well received!) for everyone taking part.
1st place with 12 fish was Rhys Wadley
2nd place with 10 fish went to Phil Lumber who won on weight
3rd place went to Jamie Harries also with 10 fish
Jeremy Wadley had the heaviest fish of the day, weighing in a beautiful 8lb fish that he safely returned.
Our host, Steve also donated some great prizes and Paul Evans generously supplied the BBQ that kept us all going all day, as well as an extremely generous donation towards our event. Thanks also go to Richard Barrett for all your help and support today, making sure the day ran smoothly and no one left without buying a raffle ticket!
